Possesions a poem by Rob Neuschwander

Why do I wish to possess what I cannot own?
For all I can ever own is a grave's debt
that I will pay some day
when my body is sown.

I can only possess my here and now
with virtues held and won;
will be all that's left
when I am dead and done.
